New Delhi: Reacting to the landside victory of the NDA in Bihar, the BJP leader Uma Bharati said that the electoral verdict proved Lalu Prasad as a 'destructive man' and demanded resignation from PM Manmohan Singh for describing him as a man of development.
Bharati, who was in BJP's charge of campaigning in the state, said the poll result had provided a ?ray of hope? for the ?fear-stricken people? of Bihar.
Recalling that the Prime Minister had described Lalu as a vikas purush at a rally in Bihar, Bharati said the people of the state had proved that Lalu is not vikas purush but is a vinash purush.
"The election result will definitely have an impact on the central UPA government as it had used all its might for the sake of Lalu Prasad," Bharati said in Delhi.
Describing Nitish Kumar as the symbol of 'clean politics', Bharati said it was a change for good governance in Bihar.
