Land allotted for Kendriya Vidyalaya

KOCHI: The District Collector has allotted four acres of land to build a Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhavan at Thrikkakara.  The decision was taken at a meeting with the Kendriya Vidyalaya Secretary on Wednesday. “At least 5,000 applications are filed for admission to the Kendriya Vidyalayas in  Ernakulam every year. Of these, only 100 to 120 are accepted,” District Collector Sheik Pareeth said.In the initial phase during the new academic year, classes will begin for students up to Class IV. These classes will be held in association with the UP schools in Thrikkakara.
