KOZHIKODE: Though a team of LDF MLAs in the district visited Onchiyam and nearby areas on Tuesday, they kept away from visiting the house of T P Chandrasekharan. CPI MLA E K Vijayan and National Secular Conference MLA P T A Raheem were conspicuous by their absence in the eight-member team comprising CPM MLAs Elamaram Kareem, A Pradeepkumar, Purushan Kadalundi, K Dasan, K K Latika, Kunjahmed Master, Janata Dal S MLA C K Nanu and NCP member A K Saseendran.Earlier, RMP activists had declared that they would never allow CPM MLAs to the house of Chandrasekharan. “We were not interested to disrupt the peace as the relatives and family members of Chandrasekharan expressed displeasure on the visit to his residence,” said Elamaram Kareem MLA later at a press conference at Onchiyam. He added that this was a matter of regret.E K Vijayan MLA did not join the team as the RMP leaders had raised their voice against the visit. PTA Raheem MLA kept away from the programme as he was in T’Puram on Tuesday.
