HYDERABAD: A major reshuffle of IPS officers is expected anytime now after final touches were given to the list of officers to be transferred and posted, during a meeting convened by chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy with DGP K Aravinda Rao and other senior officials on Wednesday.Aravinda Rao is understood to have thanked the chief minister for his support in pursuing the matter pertaining to the CAT ruling in the AP High Court, which granted stay on the CAT orders on Tuesday. CAT had earlier set aside Rao’s appointment as DGP. According to sources, the chief minister was closetted with Aravinda Rao, additional DGP (Intelligence) M Mahendar Reddy, Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissioners— AK Khan and Dwaraka Tirumala Rao for nearly two hours.Sources in the know of the developments said that the matter pertaining to the transfers and posting of IPS officers came up for dicsussion."The list has been finalised,’’ they said.Emerging from the meeting, Aravinda Rao told reporters that it was a routine law and order meeting.
