Mammootty to begin shooting for 'Kunjali Marikkar' soon

Malayalam superstar Mammootty will soon start shooting for 'Kunjali Marikkar' in Kozhikkod. Directed by Amal Neerad, the big budget film will see Mammotty play the role of a famous historical character.

The shooting of the film is expected to begin in February next year. Mammotty, who is known to play historic characters on screen, will get to play a bigger role in the film. The Rs 40 crore budget film will be produced under the banner of August Cinema.

Producer Santhosh Sivan will be behind the camera for the film which will be made in Malayalam and Telugu. It will later be dubbed in Telugu and Hindi. The film will also have 3D effects in war sequences.

'Kunjali Marrikar' is expected to hit the theatres by next Onam.
