HYDERABAD: A former government employee was murdered by unidentified persons at Budvel in Rajendranagar on Wednesday.P Prakash (52) was a former attendant at AP Engineering Research LabsHe had taken voluntary retirement 15 years back due to poor health.His wife got the job on compassionate grounds and she shifted to Ram Nagar with her two children. Prakash was living alone at Budvel.Police said Prakash used to live on the pension of Rs 3,000 he received and sleep on the pavement opposite the State Bank of Hyderabad in Budvel.According to police, unidentified persons threw a boulder on Prakash while he was sleeping in the early hours of Wednesday.Police suspect Prakash, who used to consume liquor everyday might have entered into a quarrel with some persons recently and that could be a motive for the killing. A case of murder has been registered.
