RAMANATHAPURAM: Nagarajan, a DMK cadre and a cable link operator from Ramanathapuram, who had filed a complaint against Sun TV chairman Kalanidhi Maran and three others, including a DSP, accusing them of abduction and theft, died of heart attack on Wednesday.Nagarajan a.k.a Mankombu Nagarajan, a link cable TV operator in Ramanathapuram from 1998 to 2002, had applied for cable TV control room licence in 2008. In his police complaint filed on July 27 Nagarajan alleged that Saravanan, a private cable TV operator, and his associate Kamalakannan, along with 10 others, had abducted him on March 2, 2008 and taken to a Madurai police station, where ACP Kumaravel threatened to foist false cases on him. He also claimed that the ACP forced him to talk to Maran on his cellphone. The person on the other end had ordered Nagarajan to sign the papers given by the police, failing which he would be killed. Meanwhile, his cable TV equipment were robbed.Based on Nagarajan’s complaint SP Anilkumar Giri questioned him thrice. On July 30he was questioned in front of Kumaravel. On Wednesday, Nagarajan complained of chest pain while having breakfast at his home. Doctors pronounced Nagarajan brought dead.
