BANGALORE: A group of 20 youngsters (10 boys and 10 girls) from remote areas of Chandel District, one of the most insurgency affected regions of Manipur visited Army Service Corps Centre and College, HAL and Lalbagh as a part of their National Integration Tour to Karnataka, organised by  the 42 Assam Rifles.The youngsters between the age group 14 and 17 years arrived in Bangalore on February 13. During their 5 day stay in the city they will visit Air Force Station Jalahalli, BHEL and other places in the city. The tour also includes a trip to Mysore. The team is also scheduled to meet HR Bharadwaj, Governor of Karnataka . The National Integration Tour under ‘Sadbhavana Project’ of the Indian Army provides an opportunity to these youngsters from the insurgency area of Manipur to see the developmental strides India has taken and to allow them to share their customs and traditions with their counterparts in other parts of the country officials said.
