Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted 2018’s first edition of his Mann Ki Baat radio address, lauding the country’s women achievers and the unsung heroes who won the prestigious Padma awards this year. Modi began his address with a tribute to the late NASA astronaut Kalpana Chawla and shared the inspiring stories of women who were honoured with the First Ladies Achievement Award by the Women and Child Development Ministry recently. The radio programme was broadcast on the All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan along with other social media handles of the Prime Minister, and the Narendra Modi app.
