Meet singer SRK, Don has gone too far

New Delhi: Boy! He is at it again.

We hear King Khan is again into singing after that Apun Bola number in Josh, which was his first.

While it is not new in Bollywood for film actors to lend voices in songs, Shah Rukh Khan is not known for any real passion on this front. But still, he will be doing that again. This time, for the remake of Don, in which he will be stepping into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan.

While it is not yet known as to what exactly SRK is going to sing, all we know is that SRK will be crooning again, and it's a full song.

We take this news without any pinch of salt considering SRK's immense interest in the making of this film.

"I can't do Don like Mr Bachchan. I don't have a misconception that I would be able to outdo, equal or match any which way the performance of Don. But I do believe that the concept that Farhan Akhtar's team has to introduce the film Don to the young generation of our country is an outstanding and stupendous concept and I am very glad that I am part of it," SRK told CNN-IBN recently.

"There are things I can't do. I can't do Khai Ke Pan Benaras Walla as well as I can't say Don Ko Gyarah Mulkon Ki Police Dhond Rahi Hai, Lekin Don Ko Pakarna Mushkil Hi Nahi Namonkin Hai. I don't think I can do any of it," he confessed.

"But in my own small way, as a responsible filmmaker of this country, I will be able to introduce to the young generation the excellence of Indian cinema that was Don, those who have perhaps missed it because they were not born then," says King Khan.

Apart from King Khan, the remake of Don is going to have the other Who's who of Bollywood too: Priyanka Chopra playing Zeenat Aman’s role, Kareena Kapoor in Helen’s small role and Arjun Rampal standing in for Pran. Om Puri will play the cop. Well, that holds a lot of promise, ain't it?
