London: 'Transformers' star Megan Fox took to the stage in New York on Monday night to mark her Broadway debut with 'The 24 Hour Plays'.

The actress was among a number of famous faces taking part in the charity theatre project, which gives a group of actors, writers and directors 24 hours to come up with a script and prepare it for the stage.

Fox made her New York stage debut as she appeared in a short play called The Maid opposite Paul Bettany, Sarah Silverman and Tracy Morgan, and she told reporters at the event she would never consider signing up for a proper Broadway production.

She says, "I don't have the stomach for (the stage). It takes a very brave, courageous person, and I'm too neurotic. I wouldn't survive an entire run of a play.. It's frightening... Everyone is so completely terrified (in The 24 Hour Plays), even the people who have done it several times."

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Urban Arts Partnership, an organisation which supports arts education in under-privileged schools.
