Jammu: A militant was killed in a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said on Sunday.
The shootout in Kanot area of Kalakote, about 150 km from here, took place when two militants were sighted late Saturday, a police spokesman said.
"One militant was killed in the gunfight while another managed to escape," he said.
The spokesman said searches were on to trace the other militant.
