MP government offers job to wife of policeman killed in Naxal attack
The last rites of the slain policeman were performed with full state honours at his ancestral village.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has offered a government job to the wife of policeman Rahul Pratap Singh, who was killed in the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh on May 25. Besides offering a job to his wife, the state government also provided an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh and a house to the bereaved family on Monday, official sources said.

Minister of State for Forest Jai Singh Marawi handed over the cheque of Rs 10 lakh as ex-gratia, offered a government job to his wife and a house to the martyred policeman's family on behalf of the Chief Minister. The last rites of the slain policeman were performed with full state honours at his ancestral village Kulhadia Ghat in Anuppur district of the state.

Rahul was posted in Jagdalpur district police force and at the time of the attack was part of a convoy that passed from Darbha Ghati where the massacre took place. Twenty four people, including PCC chief Nand Kumar Patel, his son Dinesh, Congress leader Mahendra Karma were killed and 27 others, including former Union Minister VC Shukla, were injured in Saturday's Naxal attack in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
