PUDUCHERRY: A murder-accused was killed by a gang in Kurusukuppam on Sunday night. Superintendent of Police N T Sivadasan said that previous enmity led to the murder of Seran, accused in a murder case and two attempt to murder cases.Seran had been staying in Cuddalore for the past few months, but had returned to Kurusukuppam on Sunday.Police said that the gang, after learning about his return to the village, went to his home and attacked him.They then crushed his head with a huge stone and fled the spot after committing the murder.Mudaliarpet police have registered a case and are investigating.Seran is the brother-in-law of notorious criminal Track Siva, currently lodged in Kalapet Central Jail under the Goondas Act.Construction Worker Murdered by GangA 20-year-old construction worker was murdered by a gang near Reddiarpalayam on Sunday night.Police said Robert Raja of Lambert Saravanan Nagar, objected to the group tippling at a flat near his house.The group, led by Bhoomiyanpet Jesu, often picked up quarrel with Robert Raja on the matter.On Sunday, the group invited Raja and three of his friends for a compromise. However, the situation took an ugly turn with the group attacking Raja and his friends with knives and steel rods.Raja was killed on the spot, while his friends suffered injuries and were admitted to the Government General Hospital.Police have registered cases against eight persons in this connection.
