My father was MLA before YSR entered politics

KADAPA: Picking up from where he had left on Saturday evening in Rayachoti constituency, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, continued the dressing-down of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Koduru constituency on Sunday.Addressing yet another activists’ meeting in Chitvel, he said that there is not an iota of truth in reports that it was YSR, who gave him ‘political alms’. “Even before he entered politics in 1978, my father N Amarnath Reddy was a MLA in 1962 itself and our family, which is an old political family, has been contesting elections, for the last 12 terms,” he said.Kiran Kumar reminded that, it was his father, who got YSR’s father YS Raja Reddy released from prison, in connection with a case, several years ago. “My uncle was an IGP at that time and even Rajampet MP, A Sai Pratap is also aware of this incident,” he clarified.Chandrababu Naidu was given ticket by the Congress, which made him a minister. Because he was a minister, TDP founder NTR gave his daughter’s hand in marriage. “But Chandrababu, not only cheated the Congress party, but also his father-in-law NTR,” the CM said and added that everyone cannot be cheated all the time. Chandrababu believes he can cheat people any time, so voters should be aware of it, before they cast their votes.Continuing his ‘Jagan bashing’, he said that “though the Congress gave political life to Jagan by making him an MP. He choose to defy and defame party leaders, Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi and now is lying about the Congress party. YSR had never lied, but his son has proven himself to be an equal of Chandrababu Naidu, in the telling of lies,” he said. Jagan speaks as if, he alone has a right to speak on honesty and sincerity, but in fact, he has no moral right to even speak on the subject. “When I saw a statement that politics in the state has declined and he will bring right and honest politics back, I thought it was Anna Hazare’s statement.But later I found it was Jagan’s and was very saddened, as Jagan saying so, is akin to the devil speaking of good,” Kiran Kumar Reddy said.He said that YSRC was claiming credit for  Congress’s schemes. He urged people to know facts clearly and be wary of YSRC’s gimmicks.Reacting to Jagan’s statement, that not a single house was allocated after YSR’s death, the CM said that it was nothing but a lie. “We have been allocating houses, ration cards, fee reimbursement. Jagan’s newspaper and TV channel, have their own version of what is being done. Is it proper to subvert facts,” he questioned.Ministers C Ramachandraiah, NMD Ahamedulla, Rajampet MP Sai Pratap, MLC B Chengalrayudu, MLAs Veerasiva Reddy, PM Kamalamma, DCC president M Ashok Kumar, party candidate for Kodur, Eswariaah and others were present.
