THANJAVUR: A day after he was arrested on land grab charges by Thanjavur police, M Natarajan, the husband of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s former aide Sasikala, was remanded on Sunday. Natarajan was brought to Tamil University police station early on Sunday. Following a medical check up, Natarajan was produced before Judicial Magistrate Malathi. When the JM ordered judicial remand for 15 days, he prayed for another medical check-up. The JM, who heard the plea, directed him to file a petition in this regard on Monday. Based on a complaint filed by Ramalingam (67), Thanjavur, the district crime branch and anti-land grab cell had registered cases against Natarajan and six others on charges of land grab and criminal intimidation.The complainant alleged that Natarajan, along with his accomplices, forcibly grabbed 20 acres of land owned by him at Anbu Nagar in Vilar.
