Navy persion adalat held

BANGALORE: Indian Navy conducted an ex-servicemen (ESM) mela and a pension adalat to celebrate the year 2012 as ‘The Year of Ex-Servicemen’. The mela was inaugurated by Commodore MVS Kumar, Principal Director, Directorate of Ex-Servicemen Affairs, Ministry of Defence. Speaking on the occasion, he called upon the retrived naval personnel to register themselves with the Veteran Sailors’ Forum to get all details of the welfare projects of the Government to help those in distress. He explained the various measures undertaken by the Defence Ministry for the resettlement and rehabilitation of the ex-Servicemen, including placement as marine police officials. He wanted the ex-Servicemen to be in touch with Navy Regimental System for speedy redressal to their problems
