NEET 2018 Application Process has begun on the official website of CBSE for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) - cbseneet.nic.in. The big change being that Open School and Private candidates have been barred from appearing for the medical entrance test. As per the official notification, “Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open Schools or as Private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-UG. Furthermore, study of Biology/Bio-technology as an Additional Subject at 10+2 level also shall not be permissible.” Therefore, candidates who have done full-time or regular Class 12th from recognized education boards, aspiring admissions to undergraduate Medical and Dental courses for the academic year 2018 must apply for NEET UG 2018 on or before 9th March 2018 by following the instructions given below:
How to apply for NEET UG 2018?
Step 1 – Visit the official website - http://cbseneet.nic.in
Step 2 – Click on ‘Apply Online’ given at the footer
Step 3 – Register Yourself, Login with your credentials, Pay the application fee, and complete the application process
Step 4 – Download the confirmation page and take atleast 3 printouts for further reference
NEET UG 2018 - Important Dates:
Application Process Begins – 8th February 2018
Application Process Ends – 9th March 2018, (11:50PM)
Last Date to Pay Application Fee – 10th March 2018, (11:50PM)
Online Correction of Applications – 12th to 16th March 2018
Release of Admit Cards – 2nd week of April 2018
NEET UG 2018 Examination Day – 6th May 2018
Declaration of Result (Tentative) – 5th June 2018
Academic Qualification:
The applicant must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology and English subjects individually and must have scored minimum 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-Technology.
Age Limit:
The upper age-limit has been set at 25 years as on date of examination i.e. 6th May 2018, age-relaxation applies to reserved categories. To apply for NEET UG 2018, the applicant must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or on or before 31st December 2018.
