Nephew of BSP leader shot dead in Sambhal

Nephew of a local BSP leader was shot dead allegedly by his friend in Nakhasa area, police said in Sambhal on Saturday.

Irfan (26), who had gone out with his friend Gaurav Sharma on Friday evening, was found injured in a car outside the district hospital, they said.

Police said Irfan, nephew of district vice-president of BSP Sajid Saifi, succumbed to injuries at the hospital on Friday night.

An FIR has been lodged against Sharma and an unidentified person in this connection, they said.
