Over 15,000 security personnel will be deployed in Indore range for the November 25 Assembly elections in the state.

"For conducting free and fair polls in Indore division, over 15,000 security personnel belonging to the CRPF, CISF, RPF and policemen from Kerala, Haryana, Jharkhand and Home Guard among others will be deployed," Indore Range's Inspector General Vipin Maheshwari told reporters.

A total of 8831 polling booths are set up in the range, out of which 1412 are sensitive in nature, and therefore special arrangements are made at these booths.

Preventive measures have been taken against 1220 suspected persons who can create problems during polling and action under various relevant sections was taken against 30,000 anti-social elements.

A total of 28,000 licensed weapons were deposited by those possessing them after enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct.
