Out of 11,228 candidates who applied, 9,530 took the written exam for recruitment to the post of upper division and senior clerks in the territorial administration on Sunday. The recruitment is conducted for 119 upper division clerks posts and 35 posts of senior clerks. The examination was held in all the four regions of the union territory, in 36 centres in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam regions. Elaborate arrangements were made with ten flying squads constituted to prevent any malpractices. The event went on smoothly, said Special Secretary, Department of Personal and Administrative Reforms S Sundaravadivelu. The evaluation is going on and the results are expected to be announced by Monday night, he said. ENS
