Panchavadyam Maestro passes away

THRISSUR: Renowned percussionist maestro Kuzhur Narayana Marar died on Thursday at a private hospital in Kochi. He was 91. He was undergoing treatment for paralysis.With his death, all exponents of the ‘Kuzhur Trio’  have faded into history. An exponent in timila and chenda, Kuzhur delighted connoisseurs while playing for the Paramekkavu faction in Thrissur Pooram.The panchavadyam maestro influenced all with his magical fingers for 40 years. Owing to illness, he was not participating in the Pooram from 1986.
