The suspended judge moved the High Court for bail after the ACB court had dismissed his bail petition. ACB counsel R Ramachandra Reddy told the High Court that there was ample evidence  against the accused to show that money was recovered from his bank lockers and the keys of the lockers were seized from the possession of his son Ravi Chandra. Pattabhirama Rao, as presiding officer, had granted bail to Janardhan Reddy in the Obulapuram Mining Company case and received huge amounts of money towards illegal gratification.
