CHENNAI: In an effort to trace the gang that looted a bank in Perungudi on Monday, the police on Thursday released the sketches of the suspects.A four-member armed gang, suspected to be from north India, decamped with Rs 19.5 lakh from the Perungudi branch of the Bank of Baroda. As no CCTVs were installed in the branch, identification of the suspects has proved a challenge for the police. On Tuesday, special police teams began an enumeration of north Indian construction labourers at several places including Thuraipakkam, Kelamabakkam, Semmenchery and Pallikaranai. A day later, they announced a cash reward for any information on those involved. Sourcs said, the identikits of the suspects were developed using the description provided by the bank staff and customers who were present at the time of the incident.
