HYDERABAD: For the winter session of the Assembly beginning on December 1, the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) will continue to be a separate party. Though a letter that it had merged with the Congress had reached the Speaker's office, as some more formalities were yet to be completed, the members of the PRP would continue to represent the party in this session, Speaker Nadendla Manohar said.
The Speaker said security was being increased at the Assembly for various reasons. No visitors would be allowed for this session while 24 ultra modern CCTVs would be installed on the premises to keep a watch on the movements of people.As regards attendance by MLAs, they would not have to sign in the register any more. Their attendance would be taken with the help of radio frequency cards issued to them. As several resignations were still pending before him, he could not complete the exercise of constitution of various committees. He hoped he would be able to complete the task before the end of the winter session of the Assembly.
