Punjab: Army Jawan kills four people and injures four, shot dead in police crossfiring in Sangrur

Sangrur: An Army Jawan opened indiscriminate fire in Sangrur area of Punjab killing four people & injuring four others before shooting himself dead.

31 year-old Sepoy Jagdeep posted in the valley was in Sangrur on leave.

"It was a property dispute. All four dead are family members. The sepoy died in police crossfiring" said army officials.

Sangrur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pritpal Singh Thind said the sepoy, who was on leave, killed four people and injured four others by opening fire.
