Raaz 3: Bipasha's black magic route to a comeback?
The two films Bipasha had pinned her hopes on to make a thumping comeback, sank without a trace at the box office.

New Delhi: If you do not count 'Singularity', 'Players' and 'Jodi Breakers', the two films Bipasha Basu pinned her hopes on to make a thumping comeback in the ball game, sank without a trace at the box office. So it is up to Vikram Bhatt and his band of merry men of 'Raaz 3' to help Basu make a comeback into the big league of Bollywood. And this time, there's black magic happening.

In all fairness, the actress is barely showing her age. At 33 she is as shapely as she was when she was picked for Raaz in 2002. And she has been possessed before. So what does 'Raaz 3' have that can re-launch Basu as Bollywood's numero uno?

Well, it has ample skin show and some spooky moments. The trailer is a bloodfest of bodies hanging from the ceiling, hands darting out of closets and empty television screens to grab your neck, an infestation of insects - it packs in black magic and voodoo.

The makers have said the plot is a mash-up of three stories derived from real life experiences of the cast. Writer Shagufta Rafique has had prior experience of black magic and its use to achieve success. Basu was and probably still is going through a phase when her career has taken a hit with the entry of new heroines in the industry. Bhatt also was in a similar situation when one of his girlfriends broke his heart.

Basu, who is back to the Bhatt camp after a decade, has spooked herself into a state during the shooting of the film. She is even scared of her own laughter now. Raaz 3 hits the screens in September.

What's your reaction?
