Rajagopal denied bail

HYDERABAD: The Special Court for CBI cases on Tuesday dismissed the bail petition of former managing director of AP Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) VD Rajagopal, an accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company scam. The Court, however, accepted the request for granting Rajagopal special class prisoner status.
The court, which heard the two petitions of Rajagopal last week, reserved the orders for Tuesday. Rajagopal, who is Accused No 3 in the alleged illegal mining scam, was arrested by the CBI on November 12.
