Ramagundam 2nd in Power Generation

KARIMNAGAR: The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Ramagundam, is in the second position in power generation among other NTPC stations in the country.According to a press release here on Wednesday, the station has generated 1,814 MU in February, 2012 at a PLF of 100.27 percent.In 2011-2012, the station has generated 19,344 MU at a PLF of 92.5 percent.The station received a record 12.15 lakh metric tones of coal for the month of Feb, 2012 in comparison with the earlier 11.03 lakh MTs in 1997.The NTPC station is currently maintaining a coal stock of 2.55 lakh metric tonnes.A team from the CEA visited the Ramagundam station recently to conduct an assessment for the Government of India productivity award for the year 2010-11.
