BHUBANESWAR: The Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar, on Thursday announced launch of two new courses, marking the golden jubilee celebration of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), its parent body. The new programmes include a two-year course in Life Science Education and Pre-Primary classes. With the introduction of the pre-primary programme, RIE offers education starting from the pre-school to higher education. At a graceful function, Principal Prof UK Nanda announced the launch. The jubilee function was attended by Jnanapith Awardee Sitakanta Mohapatra who was the chief guest, while Director of Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology Prof BK Mishra, an alumni of the school, was the chief speaker. The celebration also saw cultural functions organised by the students.
