Riot-hit families seek rehabilitation

PHULBANI: Members of the Survivors of Kandhamal Communal Violence Association urged the Government to ensure proper rehabilitation of all the affected in the communal violence, including children. “A nine-point charter of demands in this regard has been sent to the Chairperson of the National Minorities Commission, New Delhi,” said association secretary Bipra Charan Nayak. Likewise, many members of the Christian community alleged that even after three years of the incident, Kandhamal administration is not allowing construction of new churches and repairing the damaged ones in the riots.
