New Delhi: The Legg Mason Classic in Washington will witness the return of tennis star Andy Roddick. After a disappointing defeat at the hands of Roger Federer at the Wimbledon, Roddick is all set to return to the court.
“Not a lot of people get to play in the final and therefore that part is never lost on me. Even after the final I realise it is really a special thing,” says Roddick.
Roddick had a hip injury at the Wimbledon final but he is training hard and is feeling fit now. He is all set to make an impact at the US Open.
“I'm not expecting to pick up where I left off a month ago. This is part of a process that goes towards the US Open. I would love to get off to a great start but it would be presumptuous of me to expect that in my first match,” says Roddick.
The tennis player is working hard because he knows adding to his 2003 title will need a special performance.
