Melbourne: Sania Mirza is focusing on winning her second successive mixed doubles title at the Australian Open after crashing out of women's singles.
"She (Rezai) is obviously playing well, She was a seed and it is never easy to play a seed first round. But yeah, of course it is disappointing. But that's the way it is. You just have to look ahead, I guess," said Sania about her first round loss in straight sets 4-6, 2-6 to her French opponent and 27th seed Aravani Rezai.
"No, not at all. I've never had a bad experience; personally I've not had anything. In fact, Australia is one of my favourite countries to come and play and Melbourne is one of my favourite cities, so... I think that is something that is very different to what we are doing, we are here to play tennis," the Indian tennis player said.
Sania also confirmed that she would retire from tennis after her marriage.
"Well, it's just my personal choice. I mean, I just think that after marriage your priorities change in a lot of different ways and if I had to keep playing tennis and travel 35 weeks a year, why get married? I'd like to live with my husband I think," she said.
She got engaged to childhood friend Sohrab Mirza in July 2009.
