KOCHI: The scarcity of Rs 5 coins in Kerala is coming to an end.“Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukharjee has said the Centre was maintaining a reserve of Rs 5 coins amounting to Rs 1.58 crore,” Union Minister K V Thomas said in a statement. “The reserve of coins in Kerala on March 31 was Rs 0.76 crore. The Finance Minister said that coins amounting to Rs 0.98 crore have already been distributed through branches of various banks,” K V Thomas said.
