Scheme for Students

KOCHI: To inculcate a sense of citizenship among children, the district panchayat will organise programmes at the school level which will have a span of 5 months. The first phase will be organised in the 60  government schools in the district. An amount of Rs 60 lakh is expected for the first phase.“The second phase will be spread over all the schools in the district,” said district panchayat president Eldose Kunnappally. The programme which aims at making children aware of their rights as a citizen will consist of  pamphlets, documentaries and booklets.Special classes will be conducted for parents, teachers and students.
