Scolded schoolgir jumps into well

TIRUPATI: Upset over being reprimanded by teachers for coming late to the school, a Class X student of a private school, Vijaya (15), committed suicide by jumping into an agriculture well in SVU Puram under the Renigunta police station limits on Wednesday.According to the police, the girl felt humiliated for being scolded and sent out for coming late.She told her parents that she would like to spend the day with her aunt in SVU Puram near Tirupati.When her parents called up the aunt asking about Vijaya, they were told that she did not come there.The girl’s death came to light when some farmers found the body floating in the well and alerted police
