Search for leopard turns futile

KALLARA: The police and Forest officials carried out extensive search in and around Kallara-Pangod area on Thursday after some local people claimed that they sighted a leopard at Aruvippuram near Kallara. Two local people informed the police in the morning that they spotted a leopard. Though the police and the Forest officials launched an intense search in the area, they could not find anything but some footprints of an animal. However, the Forest officials said that those footprints were that of dogs.
