Foshan City: Aiming for a European Tour card for next year, Shiv Kapur produced a fine card of four-under 68 to be fourth after the third round of the Foshan Open on the European Challenge Tour.
Kapur's card, which had five birdies, was flawless till the 16th before he dropped a shot on the 17th. "It was a little disappointing to drop that one, but overall it has been okay so far," said Kapur, who is now 10-under and four behind the leader.
Meanwhile, Spaniard Nacho Elvira moved into prime position to claim his first Challenge Tour title after shooting a six-under 66, the day's best round.
He is now 14-under, while Tyrell Hatton (70) and Sam Walker (70) are tied second at 11-under with one more round to go. Kapur birdied second, third and fourth and then added two more on 13th and 14th. His bogey came on the 17th.
Kapur, who won the season's first European Challenge Tour event, Kensville Challenge, in Ahmedabad, is currently 36th on the Money List. A win or a second place finish will bring him closer to the goal of making it to top-15 and secure a card for 2014.
