SIRSI: He is yet to earn his graduation, but Chetankumar G Shetty of Sirsi, a student of Information Science (Sem VII) at KVG College of Engineering, Sullia, already has 14 of his research papers selected for publication by international and national journals and has received more than a dozen accolades and free memberships from international scientific research organisations.Shetty, who is working on an advanced interactive holographic display, had his paper on Graphical Theory of Artificial Intelligence published in a Canadian Journal on Artificial Intelligence, while three papers on educational technologies were sent to a British journal and were selected for publication.Further, his papers have been selected for a conference at the University of Glasgow, UK, for the Hong Kong Web Symposium and at the third International Conference on Education, Technology and Computer, India.Shetty, as team leader for constructing a webpage (www.experinn.org) to support young researchers in information science, has been selected for an international conference on Teaching- Learning and International Technology Education and Environment Conference at Nigeria.Free memberships in his kitty are the Space Renaissance International (SRI), Italy and the Society for Industrial & Applied Mathematics, Philadelphia.Shetty was made head of the Karnataka wing’s Scientific Innovation Foundation, New Delhi, to review new innovations in rural areas.
