Slap case against P J Joseph: CJM Court

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, here on Friday, directed  the Cantonment police to register and investigate a case against three persons, including Irrigation Minister P J Joseph, in the alleged misappropriation of funds in the Flower Cultivation Scam.In a petition, filed by Attukal Surendran, it was alleged that P J Joseph as president, C M Mathew as secretary and Mathew Madathikandam as treasurer of the Federation of Indian Floriculturists, had misappropriated  ` 21,60,831 under the guise of flower farming.The petitioner had attached a copy of the report, stating the misappropriation, submitted on February 15, 2006 by the Assembly panel,  headed by P C George.
