New Delhi: The cinematic treat this week is all about an ensemble star cast and a couple of thrillers. While superstar Amitabh Bachchan has a family to save in his new film, actor Sanjay Dutt is giving a shot at staying alive in Zinda.
Two years after Khakee, director Rajkumar Santoshi's latest offering Family stars Amitabh Bachchan.
Though the plot doesn't sound terribly new, Santoshi's touch may just spice up matters. The film also stars newcomer Aryaman, Bhoomika Chawla and Shernaz Patel who was earlier seen with Bachchan in Black.
This week's second release Zinda, treads on unfamiliar territory. A rehash of the Korean film Old Boy, the film is directed by Sunjay Gupta and stars Sunjay Dutt as a man held in captivity for 14 years.
And once free, Dutt has just four days to figure out why he was locked up in the first place. Set in Bangkok, the thriller also stars John Abraham, Celina Jaitley, Mahesh Manjrekar and Lara Dutta.
Zinda's title track by music group Strings is already a hit on the music charts but one will have to wait and watch if the same luck works at the ticket counters too.
