Some BJP leaders crossing limits: Gowda
Some BJP leaders crossing limits: Gowda

Taking a potshot at former Chief minister B S Yeddyurappa’s recent diatribe against the government in the recently concluded Legislature session, former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has alleged that a few leaders in the party crossed the limit and embarrassed the government.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Gowda said that he would question the party leaders in an appropriate forum on this ‘gross violation of discipline by a few that has led to confusion among the rank and file in the party’.

On the criticism of his administration by Yeddyurappa and Excise Minister M P Renukacharya, Gowda said that he was ready for a public debate on his tenure.

“I am open to discussion in any public forum. I have done nothing wrong and worked in accordance with my conscience,” he added.

On the demand of re-allocation of portfolios, Gowda admitted that a few have been holding key departments.

Denying any reports that he had set conditions with the party high command before stepping down, Gowda said that he, however, was ready to don the mantle of the state unit in the election year.
