Son of Sharad Pawar's Party Leader Rams Speeding SUV Into Tempo In 'Drunken' State | Video

A speeding SUV, being driven by one Saurabh Gaikwad, collided with a tempo truck carrying chickens head-on on Pune’s Manjari Mundhwa Road on Tuesday night. Saurabh Gaikwad, the son of Bandu Gaikwad, a former Corporate and NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader, was allegedly drunk at the time of the accident. The driver and the cleaner of the truck were badly injured in the accident.

CCTV footage of the accident showed a black car, speeding down a narrow single-lane road, crashing into the tempo before skidding to the side of the road. Some of the chickens were thrust onto the road from inside the vehicle by the impact of the crash. A case has been registered against Saurabh Gaikwad.

The driver and the cleaner were rushed to the hospitals by the locals.
