Special combing operations held

KOCHI: The city police on Thursday carried out special combing operations at different parts of the city. The traffic police conducted vehicle checking on MG Road and at other important places. It is learnt that the combing was part of the additional security measures taken in view of the Mumbai blasts.
The Bomb Squad and the Dog Squad of the city police also carried out checking at various places in the city on Thursday. "There was a special combing on Thursday. It was done as part of the additional security efforts that we have been taking," said City Police Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar.
