Bangalore: The school where a six-year-old student was raped will re-open on Monday for classes. The school has given assurances to the parents that their demands around security concern will be met.
Two arrests have been made in the case so far. School chairperson Rustom Kerawalla was, however, given a conditional bail on a surety of Rs 25,000 in the rape case.
He has been granted bail under following conditions. He should appear before the investigation officer every alternate day. He cannot go out of Bangalore and has to cooperate with police investigation whenever it is required. Most importantly, he should not tamper with any sought of evidence.
Kerawalla was arrested from Daman and Diu on grounds of obstruction of justice and destruction of evidence on Wednesday, as well as delaying the reporting of the crime and failing to protect a child.
The six-year-old student was raped inside the premises on July 2 and there have been two arrests in the case till now. Skating instructor Mustafa has been arrested for raping the child while Kerawalla was arrested from the Union Territory of Daman and Diu.
