The idea of a sizzling hot dish, noisily approaching as the waiter carries it from the kitchen to the table is surely a culinary experience that has attracted everyone at some point of time. Aqua, the in-house restaurant at the Park Hyderabad is currently hosting a sizzler fest --- now you can enjoy your hot meal with a chilled drink by the pool. Ask Executive Chef Mandaar Sukhtankar, the brain behind the cuisine, about the how and the why of this Sizzler festival, and he promptly replies, “There was no gourmet angle to it. We just thought that it would be fun for our guests to enjoy some sizzlers along with a drink while watching the match. Everyday we have a different menu of three options in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian to choose from.”Chef Mandaar has conjured up an exciting menu of sizzlers to that will satify both vegetarian and meat lovers. Take for instance the Grilled Summer Vegetables a la Sicilian --- perfect if you want something that is hot in temperature and in spice levels. Want something a bit lighter? Then try AD’s Mushroom Duo, a lightly flavoured, rich sizzling treat. Non vegetarians with a taste for coconutty flavours will love the Kerala Style Sizzling Prawns served with buttered rice, moilee sauce and plantain fritters. The Cajun Spiced Chicken Breast, which is served with steamed broccoli, hot barbecue sauce and garlic bread is perfect if you like a little bit of spice. Every platter of sizzling treats is served with a pint of beer, or, if you're a teetotaller, a non-alcoholic cocktail, making this meal an ideal summer treat. Sweet conclusions include yummies like the Sizzling Chocolate Mud Pie or Barbecued Fresh Fruit Brochettes.
