A suspected member of extortion outfit People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) was nabbed by Sundargarh police on Friday night while two others managed to escape. Arms and ammunitions have been seized from him.
Rajgangpur SDPO PK Panigrahi said on Friday night three armed miscreants waylaid one Ashok Seth near the Ranchi Road area on State Highway 10 under Kutra police limits and looted his motorcycle.
Receiving information, a police patrol team intercepted them at an exit route to Jharkhand near Katang village, about five km from the spot.
While one was arrested, the other two escaped.
Sundargarh SP Sanjeev Arora on Saturday visited Kutra.
Without revealing name of the miscreant arrested, police said he hailed from Birmitrapur in Sundargarh district and the other two belonged to Palkot area in Gumla district of Jharkhand.
