IBN went around the houses of the 11 MPs accused of taking money in the sting operation. Not surprisingly all of them were found missing. Our correspondent, Neha Seth gives the details.
New Delhi: It was a collective act of disappearance from all the 11 MPs who have been filmed accepting bribes for asking questions in Parliament.
None of the shamed MPs were available for the media but their domestic helps were unstinting in their defence of the masters.
The MPs are - strictly speaking - not national figures. But they are key politicians and command huge support in the region that they represent.
At the residence of Suresh Cahndel his servant answers the knock. On asked about the MP, he simply replies that Sahaeb Ghar per nahi hain (my master is not at home.) On being asked where is the MP he says that he has no idea.
The house of Anna Saheb MK Patil is locked and there is no information about where the MP can be contacted.
RJD MP Manoj Kumar's house is filled with his supporters and one of his staff says, "TV per sirf reporter ko paise ginte hue dikhaya gaya hai. Saheb unse paise lete nahi hai. (On the TV the reprter is shown counting the money. But the MP has not accepted the money)."
Whatever their supporters say the MPs have violated the trust of their voters and have some answers to give.
