HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam MLAs stated a dharna in front of the Speaker’s chamber on Monday in protest against the abrupt adjournment of the Assembly. They later called on the speaker and wanted a debate on Telangana employees’ demands. The speaker told them he would take up the matter during the Question Hour or later on Tuesday.Later, talking to reporters, leader of the opposition N Chandrababu Naidu said he was exploring legal options on action against the speaker but did not say if his party would move a no-trust motion against him. “If the Assembly is adjourned abruptly, people will blame not only the speaker but also the opposition. The speaker should find a way out to run the House.”He urged the government to make a statement in the Assembly on the action taken on Telangana employees’ demands. The chief minister’s response to the Telangana employees’ demands, accepted by the government when they called off the Sakala Janula Samme, was unsatisfactory and incomplete, he said. “The employees demanded withdrawal of cases, treating the strike period as leave and implementation of GO 610.’’Naidu was non-committal on TDP’s focus during the bypolls in Telangana.
