Jagannath is basking in the success of his directorial debut in Bollywood, 'Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap'.

Puri Jagannath, a cult name in Telugu cinema, is basking in the success of his directorial debut in Bollywood, 'Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap', and is now venturing into making an action film with hottie Rana Dagubatti.

That's not all. He will also wield the megaphone for Ram Gopal Varma's next venture, 'The Businessman', and believes that the film will mark his true beginning in Bollywood.

"Many years ago, I tried to crack the Hindi market with a film 'Shart' starring Tusshar Kapoor. That was a disaster. So I see 'The Businessman' as my true beginning in Bollywood," says Puri.

But how did he step into B-town?

"I had a script ready for Amitabh Bachchan. This is when I asked Ram Gopal Varma to get me introduced to Big B so that I could narrate the script to him. RGV took me to Mumbai and I got a chance to narrate my story. Amitabh Bachchan asked me to give him five minutes to decide and after the span of five minutes, he agreed to do the film!"

And it's not just recognition that Puri got as reward for the hit BHTP. The Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts, Los Angeles, of world renowned Oscars, has announced that they are placing the script of the film in their archives.

"A script penned by a Telugu director earning such a place of pride is really great. When I heard the news from the Big B, I felt very happy. At a time, when I feel honoured for making a film with such a great artiste, my script earning a place in Oscar’s archives is really a great honour for me," says Puri.

After 'Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap', Puri is looking at making a stronger presence in Bollywood and planning to start working on three Hindi films next year. "I want to do more Hindi films now. I have three scripts. I want to start working on them next year. However, the cast and other things are not confirmed as of now," he says.

Meanwhile, it’s Hyderabad shining once again in B-Town as director Shashi Sudigala makes his Bollywood debut with 'Rewa'. Shashi has roped in actors Anshuman Jha of 'Love Sex aur Dhoka' and Aditya Roy Kapoor of 'Action Replayy' and 'Guzaarish' fame. Quiz him on the lack of promotion and he says, "My debut film in Hindi is not the kind that needs that sort of aggressive promotion. It's a small budget film with a big heart. I’m sure word of mouth will be the best sort of publicity for the flick," says Shashi.
